Respite Foster Homes
Provide relief care to children in placement for other foster families on weekends or during vacation periods. Requires 41 hours of training and home-study approval.
Child Care Services: Foster and Foster-to-Adopt Families
Provide a temporary family that meets a child's basic developmental needs including a loving family, nutrition, clothing, belonging, safety, play, to be heard – "voice", socialization, interpersonal skills, care for personal health and hygiene, extra supervision, education (including attending to special education needs) and service planning.
Treatment Services Foster Families
Provide care for children who require additional structure and support and significant supervision. Children receiving treatment services may have emotional disorders, mental retardation, developmental disorders or significant medical needs. They may require the services of a professional therapist or medical professional.
